Extracurricular activities and school fees are waived for students who are enrolled in the McKinney-Vento Program, increasing access to students regardless of financial stability. This also may include activities that are not school sponsored.
What: Bags of food sent home to students on Fridays to keep them fed over the weekend.
ANY student can receive McBackpacks.
What: Shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, pads, and tampons.
ANY student is welcome to stop by room 305B (Family Liaison Office) to discreetly pick up hygiene items.
The PHS Health office also offers similar items.
What: Winter coats, snow boots, gloves, and other clothing necessities.
All shoes and clothing are provided through a partnership with Homeward Alliance.
ANY student can access our thrift store here at Poudre High School for clothing, shoes, and more - located in room 305C (Family Liaison Office).
What: Medical resources, rent assistance services, transportation, housing, and community resources.
Our McKinney-Vento Family Advocate, Mallory Devore, helps connect families with these services.
What: Food for holiday meals, turkey, presents for under the tree.
Any family can be referred to receive Holiday assistance through one of our several community services.
