The Registration Process: Spring 2024
FCHS **NEW** Registration Process
FCHS has revamped the entire registration process to allow students more autonomy in the scheduling process. In the Registration Kick-off Presentations, students will learn how to review their graduation requirements and select appropriate courses that align with their academic plan for the next school year. Students will be given a specific Registration Appointment time starting in January /February to meet with their counselor individually to review and finalize their course selection. It is imperative students select the courses they intend to take for the following year as we build the school wide schedule off these requests and staff our building accordingly.
In April, current 9th-11th graders, students will have access to the school wide schedule and be given the opportunity to select the specific courses (quarter and period) and build their own desired schedule based on the classes they chose earlier. Students are advised to create at least two schedules’ options in case their preferred classes are full. Students will be given a Schedule Build Appointment to build their schedule in the system with their counselor. Students will only be able to select courses they requested earlier in the year. If students want classes they did not request, they will have to wait for the Schedule Repair period in late May and early August. Please note we cannot overfill classes. Once classes are full, they are full; no exceptions. Schedule Build appointments will be arranged by grade level and assigned at random. Students who miss their scheduled appointment can come during the scheduled make-up times for their grade level.
Phase 2: Schedule Building
