Catering 1

  • Hands on cooking experiences, competitions, guest speakers and leadership skills!

Catering 2

  • Available to 10th-12th graders

  • Prerequisite: Catering 1 and passed with a C or better

  • FRCC Concurrent Enrollment Credit & ServSafe Manager Certification Available

Child & Adolescent Development

  • Available to 9th-12th graders

  • Elective credit

  • Hands on experiences, lessons and guest speakers/panels

  • Learn about topics covering a variety of information: parenting styles, pregnancy, labor/delivery, infant/toddler development

Education Exploration

  • Available to 9th-12th graders

  • Great for students interested in exploring a career in education (Teaching, Counseling, Administration, Special Education etc...)

  • Volunteer at elementary schools!

  • Create your own lesson plans and teach the class

Teacher Cadet

  • Teaches students how to successful manage money, create a realistic budget and create a career portfolio. Cover letters, resumes, mock interviews!

Interior Design 1- Residential

  • Available to 9th-12th graders

  • Focuses on Residential Design

  • Hands on projects and guest speakers!

  • Give students an opportunity to be creative and explore a variety of careers within Interior Design

Interior Design 2 - Commercial

  • Available to 9th-12th graders

  • Prerequisite: Interior Design 1

  • Focuses on Commercial Design

  • Very hands on! For students more interested in pursing a degree in Interior Design

Nutrition and Wellness

  • Available to 9th-12th graders

  • Meets Wellness Graduation Credit Requirement

  • Learn how to take care of your body! Covers all dimensions of wellness (physical, social, emotional, mental)

Interpersonal Relationships

  • Available to 10th-12th graders

  • Meets elective graduation credit requirements

  • Covers a variety of topics, including: self-concept, healthy communication, dating/relationships, friendships, families, marriage, divorce, parenting, the family life cycle

  • Guest speakers and relevant topics to teens!

Teen Choices

  • Available to 9th-12th graders

  • Covers a variety of topics, including: healthy communication, decision making skills, relationships, values, goal setting, human sexuality, addiction, brain development and substance abuse.
