Words of Wisdom

(Advice from 8th grade leaders on how to succeed in middle school)

Navigator Leaders Words of Wisdom      

1. Be yourself.  There is a place for everyone!

2. Don’t be too hard on yourself and allow room for growth. Be courageous.  Keep trying!

3. Be caring- this will make you open to new friendships. Being respectful to others will help all your relationships.

4. Be open-minded. Try new things and go to school functions!

5. Use the resources that are available to you.  Ask your friends, teachers, or the Navigators for help. Don’t be afraid to ask questions in general.  

6. Use your planner!  Write your schedule and locker combo down in your planner.  Make sure you are writing down your assignments in your planner during class and look at your planner when you get home. To make sure you are getting your work done, focus in class, and pick a certain time to work on your homework each day. 

7. To get to class on time, think of the shortest path to get there.  Also, save some time by bringing some things you need to a couple of classes in a row.  Help your friends get to class as well!

8. Have fun!!!  Don’t take everything too seriously.  Don’t worry too much.

9. Eat!  Be sure to eat breakfast and lunch.

10. Honesty is the best policy!  Be honest with yourself & others.

Have fun, be awesome and remember..Once a pirate, always a pirate!!
