Real Skills for Real Life
Family & Consumer Sciences is a program designed to teach students knowledge and skills that will help them in their personal life, work life, and in their future. We cover a variety of topics ranging from personal wellbeing, family, and careers to topics such as nutrition, cooking, sewing, finances, and much more!
This program is in its 2nd year here at Boltz Middle School and it is continuing to grow. Each High School in Poudre District also offers a variety of courses as well as work-related experience.
CTE - Career Technical Education
At Boltz Middle School, Ms. Soell and the Technology/Engineering Teacher, Mrs. Laidley, are both CTE Certified. Within Poudre School District, our Middle Schools and High Schools offer a wide variety of CTE courses in a range of topics. Family & Consumer Sciences courses covers 3 different career clusters within CTE. They are shown below.
