Once logged into the student's Quaver 'Student Dashboard', you will see several circle tabs. Activities and music can be found under each of these.
ASSIGNMENTS: Click here to see activities I've provided for the students. You will find many 'assignments' with different songs, activities, etc.Click on any of these and then click "Launch". If you would like to see all songs included in the list, click on the gray bar at the bottom of the screen (it will have the song title and slide number). A list of songs should pop up.
STUDENT INTERACTIVES: Under "Music Theory", activities 3rd grade students may enjoy include "Bell Choice", "Find That Beat", "Note and Rest Grab" and "Beat Bounce". Under "Instruments & Knowledge", students can learn about the parts of various instruments with "Instrument Anatomies" and can place them in the correct families with the game "Instrument Crane".
QUAVER BOOKS: Under this tab, you will find several interactive music books on a variety of topics. Each book includes a "Basic" and "Advanced" version.
CREATIVES: The activities found under this tab include many ways to be creative and make your own music. For all of the activities, press the "Help" button at the top right of the screen once the activity is open. You can then click "Video Training" for directions on how to do the activity. "Song Brush", "Q Grooves", "Q Backbeat" and "Q SoundFX" are great choices for 3rd grade students.
QUAVER STREET: This takes the student to Quaver Street on which they will find many of the activities already included in the tabs above. They can explore this area, go to the Music Room, etc. To return to the "Student Dashboard", click the yellow "Student" tab at the bottom right of the screen.
Encourage your child to find activities they will enjoy. Have fun making music.
