Virginia - mainly Virginia Beach and Washington D.C. Suburbs
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Psychology. After graduating with my Bachelors degree I served two years as a Teach for America Corps Member in rural North Carolina before earning my Master's degree from North Carolina State University.
I have been a school counselor since 2004. My first 7 years were spent at the high school level, but found my true passion for elementary school counseling and can't imagine being anywhere else!
I strive to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of every student in the school. I work to collaborate with the school personnel, families, and community resources, with the hope of providing every student opportunities to become productive citizens of a global society. Given the stresses of an ever changing world, I am passionate about teaching students coping strategies so they can be proactive in dealing with mental health and overall personal wellness.
My husband and I met in college and have been married since 2001. We have two children - our oldest, Ashton attends RMHS and our daughter Ella is currently at Kinard MS. We also have a four legged child - Albus - who although is technically a cat he is convinced he is a dog. As a family we love to spend time outside hiking, playing golf and exploring what Colorado has to offer.
