Enrollment is full for the 2023-2024 school year.

Pattonville School District offers a full-day tuition based preschool and a free integrated half-day preschool program.  Children must be 3 years old by July 31 of the current school year.   All of our classrooms are lead by a certified teacher.  In addition, each classroom is staffed with at least one paraprofessional to assist the teacher with each child's learning and development.  Our program is constructivist in nature, believing that children construct their knowledge individually and learn much through play when designed and facilitated by educational experts.  The early childhood preschool program operates in alignment with the Pattonville school year and is not in session during the summer months.  

We believe that an inclusion program approach to preschool nurtures the acceptance of diversity among all of our children. It also promotes the awareness of others as unique beings with individual knowledge bases and experiences, and with their own timetables for growth. An inclusion program brings together children with developmental delays or disabilities and their typically developing peers in a classroom.

Our classrooms provide children with opportunities to learn at their own pace in a positive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment where learning is fun.  Children are learning in natural ways, where the educators provide understanding, enthusiasm and patience.  

Pattonville Early Childhood curriculum is based on a constructivist approach to learning and is rooted in the state education department’s Pre-K Standards. This approach emphasizes children learning through self-exploration, play, hands on activities and direct instruction.  Activities are suited to children’s ages and abilities and address all areas of development including intellectual, social, emotional, physical and creativity.
