Ways to help your student deal with COVID
With school being different from past years, some students have struggled to adapt. Our return to a four or five-day schedule may be a struggle for some students. Here are few things you can do to help your child transition.
Help them stay on track with their learning. If they are struggling or appear to become overwhelmed with the course work, please reach out to their teachers.
Stick to a schedule. Creating a consistent wake-up and bedtime will help them get a good night's sleep. Also having a consistent mealtime, homework time, and bedtime routine will help them with focusing and unwinding.
Connect with teachers and keep an eye on your child's Skyward account. Having a relationship with your child's teacher will help you to monitor for any struggles your child may be having, whether behavioral, academic, or social.
You are always welcome to reach out to your building counselor!
We are all apart of your child's support team!
