Prose

Prose is an event where you are the storyteller. You take pieces of your chosen literature and make them into an 8-minute representation of a thoughtful idea. You can choose any single published piece of literature (besides poetry) to utilize for your piece. However, similar to Poetry, you will have your script in your hand in a mini binder (often called your "book") that you use to enhance your storytelling- think of it as a prop, where even things like page turns can add dramatic effect! Utilize tone, speed, volume, and your book prop to enhance your message on whatever your central idea is.
