“Playing soccer at Plainfield North stands out as one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. There is truly nothing like representing your school and being a part of something greater than yourself. Plainfield North stands out as one of the best soccer schools in Illinois, and having the opportunity to withhold and push that standard is one to never pass up. Playing soccer with my best friends and breaking records together is nothing I will ever forget”
Tessa Fagerson - PNHS 2023 - DePaul University
“Playing high school soccer at Plainfield North was one of the best experiences and something that I will cherish forever. There is nothing like playing for your school and on a team with your best friends who quickly become your family. I have met so many amazing people and have made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. The program at PNHS is so special and something that I hold so dear to my heart.
Lauren Mrugala - PNHS 2024 - Northern Illinois University
“ My high school soccer experience was transformative in so many ways. Not only did I meet some of my closest friends through the program, but it also shifted my perspective on the game, bringing a more positive and appreciative outlook. It was a time of growth, as I learned how to be a leader both on and off the field, taking on challenges at a higher level than I had ever imagined. Looking back, it’s something I truly wish I could relive, the excitement of the game, the camaraderie, and the lessons that soccer taught me.

“Having the privilege of being a Plainfield North Women’s Soccer Player is something that I will value forever. From making Varsity as a freshman to being in the state tournament as a senior, and everything in between, I am beyond blessed that I got to experience it all with such a special group of people. Embodying a commitment to excellence and success both on the field and in the classroom was the most rewarding feeling for me over those four years. Highschool soccer involved true dedication, drive, discipline, and determination to get where we wanted to be as a team. This also meant accepting the daily struggles as a student athlete and embracing those challenges everyday to achieve the goals we set. Although, the purpose for me was not just simply competing and playing, it also consisted of personal growth, memories, friendships, and life lessons which carried onto my college soccer journey as well. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to be a Plainfield North Women’s Soccer Player and will cherish that part of my soccer career for the years to come.”
Gabriella Mattio - PNHS 2023 - North Central College
“The teamwork, dedication, and passion I developed through the program have shaped me into the woman I am today. As well as inspiring me to pursue my dream of playing soccer at the collegiate level. Along with my class and the classes that followed, we built a family among the coaching staff, managers, and teammates. One that went far beyond the game of soccer. I am truly honored to have been part of such an empowering program, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes it!”
