Hello! My name is David Lesniak, and I am the Director of Bands at Plainfield East High School in Plainfield, IL.
I began my career in August 1999 as the Asst. Director of Bands at Batavia High School in Batavia, IL. In that position, I taught high school band, middle school choir, and elementary beginning band lessons.
I moved to Plainfield East High School in August 2008 when the school opened. At PEHS, I teach all concert bands, and also work with marching band, pep band, jazz band, pit orchestra, and madrigal brass & recorders. I am also currently serving as the Illinois Music Education Association District 9 President.
I graduated with my M.M.Ed. in 2006 from VanderCook College of Music (Chicago, IL), and my B.A. in 1999 from North Central College (Naperville, IL).
Jenna Wojdula joined the PEHS staff in the 2021-22 school year as the Assistant Director of Bands.
Prior to PEHS, she taught in Indiana, Michigan and at Plainfield South High School. She marched with Legends Drum and Bugle Corps as a mellophone player for two years and as Drum Major for three years.
Jenna is active as a clinician for leadership workshops, teaching conducting and visual technique. She obtained her bachelors degree in Music Education from Central Michigan University, and her masters degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.
