COMMUNITY COUNSELING

DP Social Workers often refer parents and students to outside agencies for additional supports. Plainfield also has a partnership with Hartgrove Counseling that allows a Hartgrove therapist to come into Drauden once a week to see students that may benefit from weekly counseling. 

Schoolhouse Counseling Center is available for individual, group and family counseling services, and they offer a telepsychiatry component, which can be hard to find, at times.  You can contact the number or email listed on the flyers below to inquire about specifics relating to their therapy sessions or telepsychiatry services, based on insurance information, Medicaid, or self-pay fees.  

If you'd like an additional list of area providers, either based on past positive reviews from DP families and their experiences, or based on insurance type (Insurance, Medicaid, no insurance/self-pay and in need of sliding scale services), you can either contact the social worker for your alphabet range and they can provide those to you or you are now able to search on your own utilizing the ReferralGPS Online System located at the following website address: https://referralgps.com/find-help/PSD202

ReferralGPS is described as "an anonymous easy to use secure website to locate Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Resources."  This resource is provided in partnership with Plainfield District 202 and available to all students, parents, and staff.  By clicking on the link above, you will be able to search providers in the area, narrowing your search by specialties, insurance or self-pay/sliding scale, your availability and if you would be open to teletherapy or prefer in-person sessions.
