Student G-Suite Accounts

Over the summer we migrated all existing student accounts from the @psbma.org domain to @brooklinek12.org. So instead of logging in with their username@psbma,org, students will now log in with their username@brooklinek12.org. If your child is in grades 4-8 then their password should remain the same.

If your child is new to Brookline or in grades K-3, your child will need to activate their account. Information required to activate your child’s account can be found in a variety of ways:

1. Student Account Info Sheet: This document is being distributed when students pick up their school-issued chromebook. The document includes the student’s full account address and activation password.

2. Aspen Parent Portal ( Parent directions for Accessing the Parent Portal )

   1. Log into the Aspen Parent Portal

   2. Locate the following information from your child’s record

      1. Students Primary Email address

      2. Student Local Identifier # (LASID)

1. Open a browser, preferably Google Chrome

2. Go to google.com, click sign in (Blue button in upper right hand corner)

3. Enter full account address, click Next

4. Enter password

   1. Password = the lowercase letters “psb” followed by the LASID#

Example: psb1001234

1. 2. Notes:

      1. Students in K-3 will maintain the initial password

      2. Students in 4-8 will be prompted to set up their own password

      3. If students can access their G-Suite account, they will be successful logging into a school chromebook.

STUDENTS IN GRADE K-3:

Students will be provided with a username and password

• To activate your account sign in and accept terms.

• Students in K-3, your passwords will remain as provided

• New students in grades 4-8 will be prompted to create a new password

STUDENTS IN GRADES 4-8

• Note that all existing student G-Suite accounts have been changed to @brooklinek12.org instead of @psbma.org

• Students logging in with existing G-suite accounts will continue to use their existing password.

• If you need your password reset, then please reach out for support.

• Student New to the District will be provided with a username and one-time activation password

STUDENTS IN BROOKLINE HIGH SCHOOL

Students will be provided with a username and one-time activation password to create a BHS NETID.

Directions for setting up a BHS NETID

This account will be used in a variety of ways throughout the grades. Some of these uses include:

1. Logging into a school-issued chromebook

2. Providing access to the grade appropriate Virtual Classroom tools

   • Seesaw (Grades K-2)

   • Google Classroom (Grades 3-5)

   • Canvas (grades 6-8)

3. Providing access to a suite of tools that include

   • Docs: A word processing tool

   • Sheets: A spreadsheet tool

   • Slides: A presentation tool

   • Sites: A tool for building websites and portfolios.

   • Storage: unlimited online storage

4. Facilitating access to other classroom tools
