New Bullying Incident Report Forms
The new forms our Office created allow reporters to choose the party(ies) that will receive their form, combatting fear of retaliation and encouraging those who have experienced or witnessed bullying to come forward.
Everything we do is guided by the aim to create a safer, more affirming experience for all PSB members, and these forms are an example of that.
Discrimination Incident Report Form
The Office of Educational Equity has created PSB's first online process to report incidents of discrimination.
OEE Educator and Staff Feedback Form
The Office of Educational Equity has created PSB's first OEE Educator and Staff Feedback Form, a confidential pathway for the voices of our educators and staff to reach those at the District Office.
Part of creating equity is creating opportunities for all voices to be heard, especially those of our PSB educators and staff, who work with our students day in and day out. In creating this form, we allow our PSB staff's voices (not just principals or those in leadership/with greater access to power) to guide our work. We begin to establish a culture where we hold ourselves accountable to our educators, staff, and all community members.
Listening Sessions
We have collaborated with PSB families, school leaders, and community organizations, such as the Jewish Community Relations Council, to host listening and healing spaces for Jewish and Israeli parents and caregivers, as well as Muslim, Arab, and Persian parents and caregivers.
Staff and Family Climate Surveys
For the first time since 2019, PSB will be rolling out Staff and Family Climate Surveys to all staff members and families across the district this Spring 2024. This effort, which has been spearheaded by the Office of Educational Equity together with the Office of Student Services, will collect comprehensive data about both school and district climate and will inform action moving forward. The U.S. Department of Education recognizes climate surveys as a best practice and an important tool in driving effective and sustained change.

Community Engagement
OEE has met with well over 200 community members - from educators and staff members, to parents and families, and community partners and organizations to listen and respond to their needs, and to build a culture of trust and belonging within PSB.
School Involvement
OEE has led professional development sessions at PSB schools, as well as Restorative Justice sessions with PSB staff members from across the district. We are frequently in PSB schools observing, meeting with and supporting educators and administrators, attending team meetings and getting to know our people deeply.
Residencies
We look forward to beginning our official residencies in each PSB school.
Through this process, we will be spending three full days in each PSB school, with the ends of reaching a deep understanding of each school's process across every facet. This will continue to guide our action and support of educators, administrators, families, and students.
Equity Leads
OEE excitedly looks forward to selecting and training 22 Equity Leads. OEE's vision is that each PSB K-8 school will have two Equity Leads, and Brookline High School will have four. These Equity Leads will be existing educators/staff members from each school that have applied and been selected for the stipended position.
