Using the Whiteboard
This section will focus on interacting with the projection system without a computer connected to it.
Before You Begin
1) Check the pens:
Make sure to install an AA battery.
Press the button on the pen to check the battery - green or blue is good (depending on the model of pen you have).
After 20 seconds, the pen goes into a power saving mode; after 20 min - it will turn off. To turn on - touch the tip to the board
Pen model ELPPN05 (black line down the center) works with the 685Wi and higher projector models; pen model ELPPN04 works with the 585Wi and lower projector models

2) Calibrate the pens:
Power on the projector
Clear the projector screen.
To auto-calibrate: From the remote, select the User button. Click Yes to start the auto calibration process and move away form the screen.
To manually calibrate: select the User button. Click No and then Extended > Easy Interactive function > Manual calibration. You will then be prompted to touch the pen to various points on the screen.

Using the Whiteboard
To choose whiteboard mode, tap your pen to the screen mounted on the wall. The Epson toolbar should appear.
Tap the whiteboard icon at the top of the toolbar. You will then see the blank white screen - this is the whiteboard.
You will see pen and highlighter tools: There are several colors and thicknesses available. You can also change color or thickness of the pen/ highlighter strokes.
There are two erase tools: One eraser will allow you to tap and drag to erase certain annotations. The other eraser option allows you to erase the entire screen.
You can choose a different background -- click the background icon from the toolbar to do so.
