Meet the Team

Maya J. Sekhar, a rising sophomore attending Brookline High School, first became engaged in scientific pursuits as a young girl, taking initiative in local, regional, state, and national academic fairs and competitions. Though her interests originated in the biological sciences, her interests have extended into engineering, the arts, and beyond as she looks to apply the same precision and discipline to all aspects of herself in order to become a balanced student and educated citizen. Ms. Sekhar enjoys drawing, painting, playing the cello, piano, and engages in public service through her local girl scout troop. Engineering and creation have always been a passion, and, following through with it through the participation in this program, has learned quite a bit about the ins and outs of transportation and the city of Boston itself. She hopes to someday grow into the cosmetic surgery industry and attend university.
