Preparing for the Trip
Many Japanese parent volunteers came into 7th grade advisory in May to help teach 7th graders how to make paper cranes!
In Japanese tradition, making 1,000 paper cranes grants a wish. The cranes symbolize the hope for world peace.
I will be taking the cranes to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
The 7th graders helped out folding paper cranes in May!
With just about a month to go until my trip, we reached our goal!
We made at least 1,150 cranes!!!
