A volunteer, student-led, non-profit and non political community bridging scholars, researchers, and newcomers across Japanese universities since 2002
Founded on April 5, 2002, in Tokyo, the Pakistan Students Association Japan (PSAJ) is the premier nationwide representative body for Pakistani scholars, researchers, and university students pursuing higher education across Japan. We operate entirely as a volunteer, non-profit, and non-political organization dedicated to uniting and empowering our community away from home.
Operating under a comprehensive Articles of Association, PSAJ remains steadfastly non-profit, non-political, and governed by transparent democratic student elections. Every member is dedicated to fostering community support while upholding the laws and principles of both Japan and Pakistan.
Annual student cabinet: Transparent elections are conducted every academic year where only students participate to elect a new governing body.
The patron: A senior professional or key position holder who provides overarching guidance, wisdom, and mentorship to the student cabinet.
The structure: Comprises executive, operations, strategy, and engagement positions (President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Information Secretary, Coordination Secretary, Digital Media Manager, and Secretary - Women Head).
Academic & Professional Development: Conducting seminars, workshops, job hunting help (resume reviews, mock interviews), career guidance sessions, and Japanese language classes.
Community & Outreach: Society awareness programs, welcoming newcomers with "Bag Backing" (essential supplies), and connecting newcomers directly with experienced alumni across Japan.
