JFF-P0 - Graduation Ceremonies

The Prairie Spirit School Division acknowledges that Graduation Ceremonies are an important part of the school function for the Grade 12 students.  The School Division also recognizes Graduation as a farewell and celebration for the Grade 12 students.

The Division accepts responsibility for the following:

(a) the dates of the Graduation Ceremonies as outlined in the School Year Administrative Calendar approved by the Board [M.R.101/95 (4)];

(b) the Graduation Ceremonies, including diploma covers and merit awards; and 

(c) for students until their Graduation Diploma is received.

Schools will organize the Graduation Ceremony.  The students and their parents are responsible for any other Graduation activities.

The Prairie Spirit School Division recommends that the High Schools in the Division participate in the Safe Grad Program sanctioned by the Manitoba Association of School Trustees.
