Qualifications
High School Graduate
Post secondary education and/or experience in office procedures desirable.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of various student information systems.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and administration programs.
Basic data management knowledge/skills.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent, the Student Information Officer will assist in the day to day operations of the student information systems of the Division and in supporting the Division in communicating this information with the Province. Their central position in the Division calls for particular communication expectations and distinct responsibilities. S/he will give functional guidance in coordinating the activities of school based administrative assistants. S/he will interact with Divisional staff and school based administrative assistants.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and update critical student information system.
Relay any identified discrepancies from the new report card reporting guidelines to the Literacy Administrator.
Create reports for data analysis of student information.
Training/support for staff on student information systems.
Aid in creation of Divisional and publicly released materials.
Aid in supporting Division Office staff with minor technical issues.
Provide support for Division accounting software for school-based funds.
Act as Web master for Divisional websites.
