GFQ-E1 - Mechanic Assistant - Job Description

Immediate Supervisor: Head Mechanic

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

1. Must be self-motivated and be able to work on his/her own whenever required.

2. Must be able to take direction from the Head Mechanic or designate and make repairs and maintenance work on School Division vehicles, buses, and equipment.

3. Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License as a minimum.

4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. To assist the Mechanics staff in duties as described in  GFK-E1 and GFL-E1.

2. To assume other duties as assigned by the Head Mechanic or designate.
