CONCERT BAND / JAZZ BAND
David Schumacher is Director of Jazz for the Pentucket Regional School District. His students have earned top awards at the Berklee, UNH, and MAJE Jazz Festivals, spots in District, All-State, and All-National ensembles, and acceptance into top music schools around the country.
Published contributions include JazzTimes and JazzEd magazines, Teaching Music (upcoming), the Boston Globe, and music education journals throughout New England and New York. He has presented at music education conferences in MA, VT, and NH, including a webinar for the PMEA. In 2021, Schumacher will guest direct the CDMMEA Junior District Jazz Band, and finish a two-year position as manager for the MMEA All-State Jazz Band.
As a composer, his NYC Jazz Orchestra recording received critical acclaim and designation as one of CD Baby's top 10 jazz albums of 2009. His music has been commissioned and performed by artists, bands, and schools across the country, including at the Kennedy Center and Jordan Hall.
Schumacher holds a MM in Jazz Studies from NEC with High Honors and Distinction in Performance. He studied with Bob Brookmeyer and Branford Marsalis.

Andrew’s passion for learning music started 20 years ago when he first began playing the Guitar, and since then has developed skills on various other instruments including the Cello, Violin & Viola, Bass, Piano, Drums, and Ukulele.
He has enjoyed years of experience as a performer in numerous bands, focusing on blending genres such as Pop, Rock, Reggae, Blues, and is currently the Guitarist/Keyboardist for the band Supernothing based out of New Hampshire. Andrew’s love for music led him to earn a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2015.
In his spare time, Andrew works on writing his own Orchestral compositions for fun, and is the host of his own podcast called The Listening Lounge!
