Dear Parent or Guardian,
I hope as you read this, you are enjoying the summer sunshine! My name is Lauren Whitaker, and I am thrilled to be your child’s Pre-K teacher at the Bagnall School. I'm extremely excited to be part of this special journey as your child takes their first steps in school, and I look forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, and growth.
In our preschool classroom, we focus on helping children build social-emotional skills, develop independence, and explore early academic concepts through play, hands-on experiences, and a lot of creativity. Each day will be filled with stories, songs, movement, discovery, and plenty of opportunities to build friendships and confidence.
My goal is to create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to try new things. Please reach out to me if you have any concerns, and we will work together as a team on this new and exciting adventure with your child.
I can’t wait to meet you and your child and begin this exciting year together.
Love Miss. Lauren
Dear Preschooler!
Welcome to our Pre-K classroom! My name is Miss. Lauren and I will be your teacher this year, along with Miss. Finn. We are both so happy you’re going to be in our class!
We’re going to have such a fun time together! We’ll read exciting books, sing songs, play games, build things, and use our imagination every single day. You’ll get to make new friends, learn new things, and explore the world around you in lots of fun ways.
There will be a special spot just for you in our classroom—your own cubby and a place on the carpet where we gather to learn and share. I’ll be there to help you every step of the way, and I’ll always be excited to see your smile each morning. Remember to bring a healthy nut nut-free snack and to wear sneakers or shoes you can run and play in outside on the playground. This summer, try practicing how to zip your coat, button your clothes, tie your shoes, and use the potty all by yourself! Don’t worry if it’s tricky—I’ll be here to help, and we’ll keep practicing together at school too.
Soon we will have a day when you and your grown-up can come and visit the classroom and meet us! We can’t wait to meet you and learn all about the things you love. We’re going to have an amazing year together!
Hugs and high-fives,
Miss. Lauren
