Dear Parent or Guardian,
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the beginning of the school year, I wanted to reach out and let you know how much I'm looking forward to having your precious preschooler in my class. I believe that each child is unique and has their own special qualities to offer, and I am excited to get to know your little one and be a part of their learning journey. As a teacher, my primary goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported, allowing them to grow into independent children. I want you to know that your child's well-being and happiness are of the utmost importance to me. If at any point during the school year, your child is having a hard day or needs extra attention, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm here to listen, understand, and work together with you to ensure your child's success and growth in our classroom. Please read the note below out loud to your preschooler. Remember to talk confidently about preschool and if you have any concerns make sure not to express them infront of your child. Their ears are listening and they need to feel your confidence behind the new experience.
Thank you for entrusting your child's early education to me—I am truly honored to be a part of their life.
Love, Miss. Kara
Dear Preschooler,
My name is Ms. Kara, and I will be your teacher this year along with Ms. Amy. We are so excited to have some fun together! We have been planning lots of great activities for us to do. We are going to read books, sing, paint, draw, dance, play outside, play inside, make friends, and learn a lot! Make sure you eat a good meal before you come to school each day, pack a healthy nut-free snack, and wear sneakers to run fast in! Sandals and fancy shoes don’t work well on the playground. You can get ready for preschool by practicing being independent. Independent means putting on your own shirt, pants, shoes, and backpack. It means zipping your own zippers, buttoning your own buttons, using the potty, and washing your own hands. As teachers we will be there to help you with anything you need too so there is no need to worry. Lots of friends feel a little nervous on the first day but we ALWAYS have fun and if you need a hug all you need to do is ask. We are going to have a day to visit the classroom soon where you can come meet us and see the classroom with your grown-up.
Can’t wait to see you soon!
Love, Miss. Kara
