Welcome to my class! I am excited to begin this school year, my seventh year at PCTA. I enjoy helping high school students set and achieve their goals!
Thirteen years ago, my wife and I got married on a beautiful beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The weather was beautiful and the people were even nicer.
I have 3 children who will be attending their final years of college. Two of them have graduated college. One of them is still finishing up college this year and another is going to graduate school.
As you can see in the pictures on this page, I also have a son who will be 10 years old this month and is now in fourth grade.
I am also now a grandfather to Luca who was born in December of 2024!!!
I also have three dogs- Josie, Buttons, and Rainbow. Rainbow's mother was one of the 4,000 beagles that the United States Human Society rescued from a product testing facility in Virginia.
This parenting experience and my teaching experience allow me to understand the interests of high school students and the challenges they may face. Of course, each person is unique and has different interests and challenges, so I am very interested to learn more about each student.
As a learner, I have always been a "well-rounded" student who did well in all my academic classes. I began college at Boston University as a "pre-med" student to become a doctor, so I excelled in science. I have taught math to middle and high school students, including co-teaching math at PCTA. One of my majors in college was political science, so I am strong in history. My strong writing and reading skills allowed me to graduate from Suffolk University Law School, practice law as a family attorney and real estate law attorney, and now teach English. Most importantly, I can help students with all of their academic classes!
It has always been my passion to help others maximize their potential, which influenced me to become a teacher and earn my master's degree in Education from American International College.
When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my family and do anything that involves exercising, reading, cooking, and trying to fix and build things. My wife is beginning to have confidence in my ability to use tools. As a result, I am now the proud owner of many tools I will never use again. Despite my improvement, I am still not allowed to work on cars based on my wife's and the auto mechanic's orders.
The community and opportunities that are created by attending PCTA are tremendous. It is a privilege to be a teacher and work with such great students and people as I do as a Multilingual Learner Teacher and English Teacher at PCTA! Let's Go!
