Class Supply List

Jones MS Beginner Orchestra Supply List

We highly recommend renting quality student instruments during the initial years of string instruction. We caution against purchasing instruments from the internet because even though they may look shiny and new for a bargain price, internet instruments are often made from inferior products, thus curtailing the quality of sound and ability for the student to tune and perform on the instrument with ease. We will ask you to reconsider attaining a better instrument should a student attend class with an instrument that poses any problems.

Please communicate with Mrs. Winkler before ever purchasing an instrument. In addition, please receive verbal permission and feedback before “upgrading in size” from a local rental shop. It is better that the student’s instrument be on the smaller side in order to achieve physical comfort when performing.

The following are all required supplies for orchestra. Please order these with your rental instrument from Dallas Strings!
