Mary Winkler is the Head Director at Jones Middle School. She grew up in Arlington, TX where there are phenomenal orchestra programs that inspired her to become an orchestra director. She graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor's in Music Education in 2003 and has since been teaching in the North Texas area since Fall of 2003. She taught in Carrollton-Farmers Branch for 9 years, Frisco ISD for 3 years, and Lovejoy ISD for 9 years before coming to Prosper to open Jones Middle School. Her orchestras have consistently earned sweepstakes at UIL Competitions and the Pioneer Heritage MS Full Orchestra finished in the top 10 orchestras for MS Honor Full Orchestra under her direction. She is excited to be in Prosper to build a tradition of excellence in the orchestra program at Jones Middle School.

Outside of school, Mrs. Winkler enjoys spending time with her husband, Ray Winkler, and her 3 kids, Brandon (18), Leo (15), and Genevieve (10) and her 2 rescue dogs, Mazel and Scooter. She loves to go camping and read books.
