News Anchor: The news anchor’s responsibilities include being prepared to read the broadcast script-- news stories, and features. The news anchor must act responsible and professional during on-air broadcasts. Good posture, clear speaking and pace are important.Â
Tech Support: The students on tech support will be trained on the following technology that is used for the broadcasts: Powerpoint, Google Slides, camera operations, teleprompter, switchboard, soundboard, etc. Tech support will work closely with the director and news anchors to make sure our broadcasts run smoothly. This is a behind-the-scenes role.Â
ATTITUDE: Be respectful students who demonstrate leadership characteristics to be a part of the crew. As a prominent figure in our school community, it is expected that students be an excellent role model for all Bryant students.Â
COMMITMENT: This will be about a 5-week commitment. A new crew will be selected from another 5th grade homeroom each 5 weeks.
DEDICATION: We will have a brief production meeting during lunch or recess once a week.
PUNCTUALITY: You will need to be in the library and ready to film no later than 7:30 am daily.
Missing meetings and tardies:
If you miss two production meetings you will no longer be on the Bryant Broadcast Crew (unless it is an excused absence).
Everyone is expected to be on time for the filming. Your team is counting on you to be here and to do your part in the production. (Absences for sickness/appointments will not count against you.)
You are committing to be at meetings and morning broadcasts between these dates:
