Registration: A representative from each school should come to the tab room to register and receive their updated invoice as soon as you arrive on campus.
Adult Food - Hospitality will be available for coaches and bus drivers in the main hall on the East side of the building.
Student Food - We will have a small concession stand available for students.
Drop Off, Pick up and Parking - Please drop students off at the main entrance. Cars can park in front of the main entrance or on either side. Buses should park in the lots on the East or West side of the building.
Student Holding - PHS has a large cafeteria for holding. Please make sure that your students know that they should not be in any classroom without the supervision of an adult and only in classrooms designated for competition.
Drops/Adds - Drops, Adds, and substitutions in testing events can be made in the testing room from this point forward. Additions will be invoiced after the tournament. We can't add to speech/debate, but drops need to be emailed IMMEDIATELY upon your knowledge of them to rlkane@prosper-isd.net. Please provide school name, student name, and event..
Grading - Schools with students in an event are expected to have a representative available to grade. Please report to the first testing room indicated on the schedule for grading 10 minutes before the end of testing.
Verification - With so many schools,, verification will be done in the grading room once grading is completed with coaches only unless there is a concern that would necessitate bringing a student in for clarification.
Computer Science - the information will be added to the website. Please note that participants in Computer Science MUST bring all of their equipment with them including flash drives, extension cords, etc. Host schools do not provide this. In addition, computers need to be compatible with Hackerrank. Please see the instructions on the website.
Testing equipment and materials - Students and coaches should bring with them the materials needed for testing/competing (i.e. approved calculators where allowed, pens, paper, pencils, etc.)
Results - Results will be announced after verification is completed in the cafeteria. Awards not picked up at that time will be placed in competition bags to be picked up after the tournament. NOTE that we will NOT be mailing materials or awards so make sure to pick them up before leavving.
Testing materials - Your testing materials will picked up after verification. Because we are at the beginning of Set B, I will email a "CLEAN COPY" after the tournament.
Journalism/Ready Writing - Based upon coach feedback from last year, we will be coach grading this year. We will give awards for each event in several conferences including awards in 1A-4A, and 5A-6A. We will split grading up to accommodate. Note that if we have low entries in some conferences, they may be combined with another conference. We will have computers for use, but your students are welcome to bring their own equipment or hand write if they would like.
Speech/Debate Judges - Schools providing judges MUST be available throughout the tournament. Please make sure that your judges know that and know not to leave without checking in with the tab room. Judges who don't fulfill their obligations when placed in a round will cause the school to incur the $150 judging fee that will be invoiced after the tournament. Ballots will be digital so all judges will need a digital device and a tabroom account.
