Propel’s Partner in Wellness (PPIW) Program is Propel’s comprehensive wellness support system to increase positive interactions and experiences that lead to overall wellness.
PPIW serves as a resource for scholars and families who are experiencing barriers to learning.
Propel Schools partnered with UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough to provide school-based mental health services that aim to support the PPIW model and meet the needs of our students and their families.
Unlike many traditional school-based mental health models, MYCS staff are embedded into the culture of the school. The Mon Yough model encompasses a Prevention Specialist (PS) and Student Assistance Program (SAP) Liaison at each school building.
This webinar for parents, guardians, and scholars will take a look at the resources and supports available for our Propel families during a time period where online learning is taking place. Some questions you may be wondering are: How will my child receive support virtually this school year? How will I get PPIW services for my child while she/he is being educated virtually? What routines are needed to help my child be the most successful she/he can be?
We understand there may be a lot of uncertainty surrounding this new way of learning, and we plan to address these anxieties during this informative session.
How could we live without our phones, ChromeBooks, and other devices that allow us to peruse the internet? That's how most of us keep in touch with friends, do our homework, shop, take pictures, and keep up with the news! But did you know that problematic internet usage can have an impact on our mental wellness? In this webinar lead by Propel Partners in Wellness staff, we explore online safety and ways to address anxiety with regard to social media.
