Me llamo Idoia Grau Sologestoa.
Soy doctora en Arqueología y una apasionada de los animales. Por eso me encanta dedicarme a lo que me dedico: la Arqueozoología o Zooarqueología.
Trabajo fundamentalmente sobre contextos de época histórica en la Península y en el Reino Unido, y entre las temáticas de estudio que más me interesan están las siguientes: las prácticas ganaderas, la diferenciación social a través de la alimentación, la industria ósea y la tafonomía. Estudio restos de mamíferos y aves de todos los tamaños.

My name is Idoia Grau Sologestoa.
I have a PhD in Archaeology and I looooove animals. That is why I enjoy so much what I do for a living: Archaeozoology or Zooarchaeology.
I mainly work on contexts dated to historical times in the Iberian Peninsula, the UK, Switzerland and Germany, and some of the topics I am interested on are the following: animal husbandry, social differentiation through diet, bone industry and taphonomy. I study mammal and bird remains.
Hasta la fecha, he trabajado en varios proyectos de investigación, en la Universidad del País Vasco-Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV-EHU), en la Universidad de Sheffield (UoS), en la Universidad de Nottingham (UoN), y en la Universidad de Basilea (Unibas). Actualmente trabajo en el Integrative Prähistorische und Naturwissenschaftliche Archäologie (IPNA), en la Universidad de Basilea (Suiza).

Until now, I have worked in different research projects, at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), the University of Sheffield (UoS), the University of Nottingham (UoN), and the University of Basel (Unibas). You can find some details about my work (past and present) here.
Currently, I work at the Integrative Prähistorische und Naturwissenschaftliche Archäologie (IPNA) at the University of Basel (Switzerland).
