Why is the Sierpinski Pyramid important?

- Scissors
- 12-inch ruler
- Pencil
- Transparent tape

1.Use the ruler and draw diagonal lines on the cardboard
2.Cut along the diagonals you drew.
3.Fold the shape together.
4.Use tape to secure the pyramid.
5.To make Stage 1 of Sierpinski’s Pyramid, you will need to put a pyramid at each point or vertice on the base.

Patterns are present in every aspect of our lives. From the most basic ones, like the number to much more complicated ones, like the patterns in the molecules. They make make our lives much more easier because we know what to expect and we also can predict what will come next by examining patterns. One of the most important examples of this is the rotation of the planets and the creation of days and years. Because we saw winters pass in the previous years, we can predict there will be winters during next years around the same time with the previous years. This is how calenders were created. Same is true with clocks as well.
