The Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology

FESPB is Europe’s largest and most widely representative society of Plant Scientists. The aims of FESPB are to advance research, education, and the exchange of information amongst plant biologists within Europe and beyond, and to support the publication of the results of research through its affiliated international journals: Journal of Experimental Botany, Journal of Plant Physiology, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Physiologia Plantarum, and Plant Biology.

International Society of Photosynthesis Research

The Society was founded August 22, 1995. The purposes of ISPR are to:

  • Encourage the growth and to promote the development of photosynthesis as a pure and applied science

  • To facilitate publication of research in photosynthesis

  • To sponsor the organization of a triennial International Congress on Photosynthesis

  • To promote international cooperation in photosynthesis research and education

Rank Prize Fund

The Rank Prize Funds is a charitable organisation which seeks to recognise excellence in specific fields of research and reward innovators for their dedication and outstanding contribution. The Funds have as their objectives the advancement and promotion for the public benefit of knowledge, education and learning.

The Society for Experimental Biology

The Society for Experimental Biology aims to promote the art and science of experimental biology in all its branches The society has an international membership of approximately 2500. It covers both plant and animal science from the cell to the environment. SEB has four sections: animal, plant, cell, and SEB+ (covering career development, equality and diversity, teaching and learning and science communication.

SEB publications include the Journal of Experimental Botany, The Plant Journal, Plant Biotechnology Journal and Conservation Physiology.

British Ecological Society

Advancing the science of ecology since 1913 the British Ecological Society is the oldest ecological society in the world. With over 6,400 members around the world, bring people together across regional, national and global scales to advance ecological science.

BES publications include Journal of Ecology, Journal of Animal Ecology, Journal of Applied Ecology, Functional Ecology, Methods in Ecology and Evolution and the journal Ecology and Evolution.

Plant, Cell & Environment

Plant, Cell & Environment publishes original research, either theoretical or experimental, that provides novel insights into the ways that plants respond to their environment. Thus the journal covers plant biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, cell physiology, whole plant physiology, crop physiology and physiological ecology, together with structural, genetic, pathological and meteorological aspects as related to plant function. Work at any scale, from the molecular to the community level, is welcomed.

New Phytologist Trust

The New Phytologist Trust is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of plant science. It owns and produces the international journals New Phytologist and Plants, People, Planet.

PhenomUK

PhenomUk’s goal is to promote greater involvement in the development of plant phenotyping technology by the UK’s engineering and physical science base and increased and closer collaboration between plant, crop and agricultural scientists and those working in the engineering and computational sciences.

The Faculty of Sciences and Technology (FCT NOVA), Campus of Caparica is one of the most prestigious Portuguese engineering and science public schools and it is engaged in extensive research activity developed in 16 research centres involving 1600 PhD and Master’s students of the total enrolment of 7800.

Heinz Walz GmbH is one of the world’s top producers of highly sophisticated photosynthesis measuring systems.

Delta-T Devices specialises in instruments for environmental science, in particular: agronomy, plant physiology, eco-physiology, data logging, meteorology, soil moisture, solar energy studies and environmental monitoring.

METER is in the innovation business. As inventors, we are driven to push boundaries to help our customers solve meaningful problems in areas such as air and water quality, crop management, and food safety. Our customers’ measurement and data management problems involve complexity. Our job is to create reliable, easy to use systems to handle that complexity. Our goal is devices and systems that are simply precise.

Ocean Insight is a company rooted in the opportunities enabled by new optical measurement technologies, active in nearly every market, industry and aspect of life. Scientists and researchers, manufacturers, farmers, food and beverage producers and medical professionals use Ocean Insight spectroscopy to fuel their analysis.

LI-COR technology enables scientists around the world to improve lives by advancing discovery. From the first low-cost light sensor filtered for the waveband absorbed by plants, to pioneering the development of near-infrared fluorescence detection systems for DNA sequencing, LI-COR strives to provide innovative solutions for researchers. Today, LI-COR is a leading innovator in systems for plant research, gas analysis, drug discovery, protein research, and small animal imaging.
