Manufactured by: Marvi Pharmaceuticals Karachi, Pakistan
Background: Provincial Drug Inspector collected the sample from Tehsil Gojra Dist. Toba Tek Singh and sent it to the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for testing and analysis.
Problem: Manufacturer has claimed Amoxicillin Trihydrate 125mg/5ml but DTL has determined Amoxicillin Trihydrate 87.44mg/5ml (69.95%). Product information and instructions in Urdu are missing. Therefore, DTL has declared it SUB-STANDARD and MISBRANDED.
Recommendation: This product does not meet appropriate quality standards and specifications. This product may fail to produce desired therapeutic effects. All concerned are intimated to keep avoid in procurement, dispensation, promotion, sale and use of this batch of pharmaceutical product.
