Tablet: Axifen SR (Diclofenac Sodium 100mg)

Manufactured by: Axis Pharmaceuticals, Faisalabad, Pakistan

Background: Provincial Drug Inspector collected the sample from Tehsil Mian Channu and sent it to the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for testing and analysis.

Problem: This product failed to comply the stated specifications of dissolution test. Therefore, DTL has declared it SUB-STANDARD.

Recommendation: This product does not meet appropriate quality standards and specifications. This product may fail to dissolve, absorb and hence may fail to produce therapeutic effect. All concerned are intimated to keep avoid in procurement, dispensation, promotion, sale and use of this batch of pharmaceutical product.
