Manufactured by: Gulf Pharmaceuticals, National Ind. Zone Rawat, Islamabad, Pakistan
Background: Provincial Drug Inspector collected the sample from Tehsil Mandi Bahaudin and sent it to the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for testing and analysis.
Problem: The product failed to comply the stated specifications of weight variation (04 units deviate from ± 7.5% weight variation limit) and disintegration test (all tablets show disintegration in 0.1M HCL within 02 hours). Therefore, Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory has declared it SUB-STANDARD.
Recommendation: This product does not meet appropriate quality standards and specifications. This product may be potentially harmful to patients. All concerned are intimated to keep avoid in procurement, dispensation, promotion, sale and use of this batch of pharmaceutical product.
