Suspension: Parokal (Paracetamol 120mg)
Description: Pink coloured suspension having pleasant smell contained in amber coloured plastic bottle with sealed metallic screw cap.

Manufactured by: Medella Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Ltd. Raiwind Road, Lahore
Background: Provincial Drug Inspector collected the sample from Tehsil Phalia District Mandi Bahauddin and sent it to the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for testing and analysis.
Problem: Manufacturer has claimed Paracetamol 120mg/5ml. But the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory has determined Paracetamol 92.52mg (77.1%)/5ml which does not comply the stated specifications. Therefore, Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory has declared it SUB-STANDARD.
Recommendation: This product does not meet appropriate quality standards and specifications and may therefore be ineffective and potentially harmful to patients. All concerned are intimated to keep avoid in procurement, dispensation, promotion and use of this pharmaceutical product.
