Anti-Diarrhea Medicine Loperamide (Imodium) may have Crisis!

US-FDA warned to limit the dose of Loperamide. It is FDA-approved to control diarrhea. The maximum approved dose for adults is 8mg/day for over-the-counter (OTC) use and 16mg/day for prescription use. It is safe at approved doses, but when much higher, it can lead to serious problems, including severe heart rhythm problems and death. Keep caution while prescribing, dispensing and using the medicine. Report any reaction regarding Loperamide through mss.punjab.gov.pk/reporttgrp
