AMVIT Syrup has been declared SUB-STANDARD!

Description: Dark brown liquid, packed in amber glass sealed bottle.

Manufactured by: Bloom Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Ltd, Plot # 30, Phase I & II, Industrial Estate, Hattar, Pakistan.

Provincial Drug Inspector collected the sample from Nishtar Town, Lahore, and sent it to the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for testing. Manufacturer has claimed that 3mg/5ml Thiamine. But the DTL has determined that 2.21mg/5ml (73.81%) Thiamine which does not comply, the stated limit of Thiamine is 90-150%. Therefore, DTL has been declared it SUB-STANDARD that do not meet appropriate quality standards and specifications and may therefore be ineffective and potentially harmful to patients. All concerned are intimated to keep caution in procurement, dispensation, promotion and use of this medicine.
