Attention (ALERT)!

Provincial Drug Control Unit received a report of Erythropoietin related hypertensive crisis in a patient with Chronic Kidney Disease. Known cases of hypertension or other cardiac complications must not be given this medicine or its use be limited to cases where benefit outweighs the risk. It should be ensured that patient is taking antihypertensive therapy if found hypertensive. If further such reactions are observed, report through mss.punjab.gov.pk/reporttgrp.
