Provincial Drug Control Unit received various reports of oral Moxifloxacin related hypotension in cardiac patients. The drug is rarely known to cause hypotension and the reported cases were previous patients of Ischemic Heart Disease. It is thus advised to clinicians to keep caution in prescribing this medicine to such patients, closely monitor therapy and ask patient to inform promptly if such symptoms develop. If further such reactions are observed, report through mss.punjab.gov.pk/reporttgrp.
