Manufactured by: Wilshire laboratories (Pvt.) Limited, 124/1, Industrial Estate, KotLakhpat, Lahore, Pakistan
Background: Provincial Drug Inspector collected the sample from Tehsil MandiBahaudin, and sent it to the Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) for testing and analysis.
Problem: Manufacturer has claimed disintegration time NMT 30 minutes (6/6) & NMT 30 minutes (16/18) but DTL has determined that 09 tablets fail to disintegrate that does not comply with stated specification. Therefore, DTL has declared it SUB-STANDARD.
Recommendation: This product does not meet appropriate quality standards and specifications and may therefore, be ineffective and potentially harmful to patients. All concerned are intimated to keep caution in procurement, dispensation, promotion and use of this pharmaceutical product.
