Intraocular Vancomycin May Cause HORV leading to blindness!
Ophthalmologists use Intraocular Vancomycin during Cataract Surgery with the intent of preventing Postoperative End-Ophthalmitis. This use has been declared by US-FDA to be associated with a Rare, Potentially Blinding Postoperative Complication. Hemorrhagic Occlusive Retinal Vasculitis (HORV).
