Provincial Drug Control Unit (PDCU) has received multiple reports of muscular pains associated with use of Atorvastatin. This cholesterol lowering medicine is known to cause muscle weakness and muscular pains. In rare cases, the effect may be very severe and cause muscle loss and even kidney failure.
