Falsified Meglumine Antimoniate Ampoules in Pakistan!
WHO has published a medical product alert, related to Gulucatime and Gulucantime containing generic Meglumine Antimoniate used for the treatment of Leishmaniosis falsely claim to the manufactured for Tillotts Pharma AG, Switzerland.
In Pakistan it is available with brand name; Glucantime 1.5g/5ml solution for injection, Batch No. II-089, Mfg. 03/2018, Exp. 02/2021
WHO has confirmed these products are falsified.
The company Tillotts Pharma AG has confirmed to WHO that they do not manufacture, sub-contract the manufacture, nor distribute these products anywhere in the world. WHO requests increased vigilance within the supply chains of countries likely to be affected by these falsified medical products. WHO request to all hospitals, clinics, health centres, wholesalers, distributors, pharmacies and any other suppliers of medical products please do not use.
