Here you can read about Martin Partio's scouting activities in English!
Scouting is a fun and rewarding hobby that helps children and young people develop valuable skills for life. In addition to weekly group meetings, scouting offers a wide range of activities such as outdoor adventures, camps, and hands-on learning experiences.
Through scouting, children make new friends, often for life. The hobby is filled with friendship, laughter, and unforgettable moments that build confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of community.
Martin Partio offers scouting activities for different age groups, from young children to adults.
Martin Partio (MaPa) is a local Scout group based in the Martti district of Hyvinkää. Founded in 2007, Martin Partio is open to everyone. Martin Partio has around 40 members.
Our Scout scarf (neckerchief) is dark blue and features a steam locomotive wheel. The design reflects Hyvinkää’s railway heritage and the history of our local area. The colours of the scarf are inspired by those of the Uusimaa region.
Our weekly meetings are usually held in Martin Seurakuntatalo (Niittymäenraitti 4, 05810 Hyvinkää).
The entrance is through the glass side door, accessed from the school’s inner playground. If you have trouble finding us, feel free to give us a call — we’ll be happy to come and meet you. You can find leaders' phone numbers below.

Adults
Flexible participation
In Finnish scouting, adults are Guides and Scouts usually aged 25 and over. Adults play an important role by supporting the growth and development of children and young people. Even though scouting is a youth movement, adults are an essential part of it. It is never too late to join—or rejoin—scouting!
