The Laramie River is facing the problem of sediment movement leading to pollution. Bank erosion is leaving the sediment able to travel more, which can mess with the river's natural form . When there is a faster current, the banks start to erode, making the river unsafe . A healthy river meanders, but the Laramie River has been rerouted in the past, which caused the river to speed up, causing sediment movement and erosion. When matter falls at the bottom of the river it causes sediment pollution. Sediment is hurting the Laramie River, but the Lab School can help.
