Search-Engine Optimization

Much of my content work at Expedia was oriented toward Marketing and Search-Engine Optimization. While the blogs I wrote for Expedia were written to appeal to travelers, they were also rich in SEO keywords.

I also wrote landing pages and FAQ's (examples below).

As a side project, I produced a video on the basics of SEO for small businesses.

Landing Pages

I hand-wrote SEO-rich landing pages in 2018 like this one about Orlando. As you can see, it is rich with keywords, hyperlinks, and good information about the city. I even managed to throw in a Shakepeare reference and a pretty great Star Wars pun toward the end.

FAQ's

I created this FAQ asset for thousands of different destinations, using a pre-AI proprietary content authoring tool, for one of my travel brand clients. The complexity and beauty of this system is that it uses structured templates and variables, so that not every destination has the same template, and so that the proper data for each city populates in the variable field for each destination. In addition to writing the templates, I had to make sure the data was coming through accurately.
