Another inaugural side and the first ever official knee hockey team affiliated with the Edmonton Oilers, the Hollanders seem to have less of an overconfidence about them than fellow new boys Bulls, so a Top 2 finish might come as a bit of a shock. Anything can happen in this league, so don't rule out "la Oranje" just yet. A 3rd place/Mid Table finish for Christian Homa and friends should keep them satisfied this season. It will be an interesting battle with Krystian Broda and the Bulls for the Mid Table places in the standings for the Hollanders, and they will look to make their first season better than most expect. A shock could very well be on the cards, but let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.
Matchday 1:
- We said to not count them out, did we not? With the shock win against Dax Athletic being their moment to remember so far, they might want to put the OT loss against the Predators behind them very quickly. Decent start for them, as expected, although they should be tied for the top of the table if it weren't for that loss against the league's underdogs. Instead, they sit in 3rd place with 7 points, behind Dax Athletic on goal difference.
- When asked about his performance, Christian Homa didn't seem very disappointed. After all, who could blame him? "I thought I played well, especially in the game against Dax Athletic. I don't feel there's much to be improved on... maybe my concentration? I think that was what let me down against Smith Sondy. I took some bad penalties in that game that cost me the extra 2 points. Other than that, I think I'm pretty content with my performances so far."
